We Are Already Seeing the Consequences of President Biden’s Dangerous Rhetoric
We all remember the first of September when President Biden took to the podium at Independence Hall, the birthplace of our nation, to deliver a startlingly nazi-esque speech. During the 25-minute tirade Biden labeled conservative voters and politicians who support former president Trump as “an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic”. He continued by suggesting that conservative Trump voters “don’t respect the rule of law”, that they “fan the flames of political violence”, and are a “clear an present danger to our democracy”.
Biden then implores that every citizen has the power “in their hands to put a stop to the trump voters” who he claims represent an “assault on our democracy”. Biden continues in this fashion saying that these voters “made their choice” and they live in “the shadow of lies”. He then makes a rather chilling call to action stating that “we are all called by duty and conscious to confront extremists”.
The incendiary nature and extreme nature of this speech was not lost on many viewers as multiple hashtags trended on Twitter noting the Hitler-like nature of the speech. Observers with a deeper insight into our hurting nation noted that rhetoric of this type only serves to incite extremists into action such as rash of violence, murders, and rioting that took place across the country in 2020 culminating in January 6th protests. Biden’s divisive rhetoric flew in the face of the very meaning of the sacred ground on which he stood to deliver that speech. However, it had achieved its true purpose. The violent alt-left extremists that desire to commit political violence against others now had their marching orders and the presidential mandate to take action. America was on a short timer to when we would see the manifestation of the result of Biden’s dangerous rhetoric.
On Sunday September 18th, not even a full month after Biden’s Blood Red Speech, the first death inspired by Biden’s calls to action came to pass.
In McHenry North Dakota, 41-year-old Shannon Brandt murdered 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson after the two had a political dispute at a street dance. Following the dispute Brandt got into his SUV and chased the Ellingson down into an alley where he struck the teen with his vehicle killing him.
After committing this gruesome crime Brandt called 911 and claimed that Ellingson was “part of a Republican extremist group” and was calling people to get Brandt after the two had argued. Ellingson’s last call was to his mother whom he begged to save him as Brandt was running him down in his SUV.
Following the 911 call Brandt fled the scene and returned to his home where he was arrested. He being held on 50,000 bond and is facing charges for vehicular homicide and fleeing the scene of a crime. Brandt would face a minimum of 10 years and a maximum of 20 years if convicted. State troopers have stated that they may consider more serious changes as the investigation unfolds.
This event starchily mirrors the murder of Heather Heyer in 2017 during the Charlottesville Protests. Every genuine person that was outraged and horrified by that brazen and indifferent act of political violence should be equally disgusted with this same act of violence happening again.
As of this time President Biden has not come out to condemn this violent attack. And, it is very much unlikely that he will. Because to condemn this action would require him not only show true leadership and stand up before the American people and admit that he made a mistake with the rhetoric of his speech, it would also alienate the violent alt-left extremists that make up a large part of his own voter base. With the election just around the corner Biden is too scared to admit that fault.
In his calculus keeping the radical elements of his party enraged enough to commit murder is the same thing as keeping them enraged enough to vote Biden-Democrat. And is worth every single life lost to extremist political violence. This is a sad and sobering reality to face. The blood for Ellison’s death is on President Biden’s hands, and he is hoping no one will see it under the blood red lights of his Blood Red Speech.
